Default Crawford Time Attack Vid w/ telemetry!!! Sweet!

One thing is for certain....it's cool watching a FAST Subaru around a track, but it's a whole other thing to watch it with an on-board telemetry feature And then to compare it with back to back driver's (Tanner Foust and Russ Warr).
Dam, it's information overload
http://www.crawfordperformance.com/n...ticle_24.shtml

Hope you get as much enjoyment out of this as I do!!

is this really "telemetry", or just on-board data acquisition? There is a difference.

The unit uses GPS and on-board data acquisition. The end user can display whatever information they want. So, not sure what you'd officially call it.

Sweet. Great driving. Too bad for the Evo's cuz they didn't have Tanner or the Dr. driving them. I'd love to see same drivers with the two different cars.

That's some cool video action there. Doesn't seem like there are too many other drivers out on the track. I wonder why?

The data was obviously desync'd with what was happening in the video, at least on the RPMs.

But damn, that's a whole lotta fast.

Nice vid. Wish the meters showed some sort of measurement.

Nice. What tool was used to overlay the data on the video? Once I get my performancebox (from vbox) I was going to use trackvision to sync my data and video.

The more I watch this vid, the more I'm convinced it's in fast-forward. Watch how fast Tanner's working the steering wheel, and how robotically quick it seems (as opposed to quick-but-smooth as you'd expect from a pro driver), and how fast it looks like he's going when the "telemetry" only shows 50mph.

Nice vid. Interesting to observe the difference in hand position between Tanner Foust and Russ Warr...Thanks for posting.

Watching the video along with my Windows clock, it looks like the first lap is around a 1:10, and the second lap is around a 1:13 or so, which woul be consistent with their posted times.

I wish it had looked that fast from my windshield .

I wasn't joking, but I found the winning lap times in another thread, and compared 'em against the video, and I think I'm on crack.
