Sushi Plus is pretty good, especially if you are in to rolls. I am more of a Sashimi fan, but they don't even have that on the menu I think it is on Yates

Ebizo has a good Sashimi spread. It is a little expensive I found though. 604 Broughton

well I'm taking a girl friend there (note the space ) she's a bit of a hippie, so it's probably better if it is a more casual atmosphere. I'm willing to go with your best suggestion.

Can I come too?

I've only been to one sushi place here, a couple years ago, who's name escapes me at the moment, but they had a big sign with blue lettering on a white background and all their dishes (including the tea cups) smelled of fish... nasty.

Ebizo (broughton) / Tamami (chinatown) have similar(near identical) menu selections.. they also have interesting stuff that is not on the menu..

Shizen Sushi across from am cafe has lots of praises ,i find it a bit cramped for a big restaurant.

One of my favorites is Kaz on Store St. downtown Victoria. They have a bit more of an authentic Japanese menu and not just your typical Teriyaki Chicken and California Rolls.

Japanese Village on Broughton Street is good too. Probably not the most objective recommendation as my aunt/uncle run it but it's been a favorite of a lot of Victorians for like 2 decades now
