Do I need upgraded rear endlinks for a 22 mm swaybar? How have the plastic ones held up for some of you over time. I am excited, I am putting on the new swaybar on tomorrow. Any tips, I am guessing it is just as easy as a front swaybar.
Thanks,

It's actually a lot easier than the front sway. No subframe removal or anything.
Received wisdom is to upgrade the endlinks. From what folk say you might want to upgrade to 2004+ mounts, too. |

Whiteline has a great tech paper available online where they discuss the benefit of their alloy/poly HD endlinks vs. the stock subaru plastic/rubbers (rears). In summary, their analysis shows that for a 20mm rear bar, adding the HD endlink would be similar to running a 20.07mm rear swaybar on the stock endlinks. And for a 24mm bar, adding the HD endlink would be like running a 24.17mm bar on the stock endlink. These are for street cornering maneuvers with 1g peak loads.
The greater the cornering force (race setups) and the greater the size of the bar, the greater the benefit of the HD endlink. http://www.whiteline.com.au/articles/WL_Alloy_link.pdf |
