Default Has anyone tried the PLX SM-AFR A/F meter?

Hmm I'm in the market for an A/F ratio meter, so that I can log to a laptop, or even possibly a unit that has logging capabilities so that I can start tuning my car, or at least for now try and figure out what's going on with it. has anyone tried the PLX DSM-AFR a/f ratio meter? at 195, the price seems almost too good to be true, although it is comparable with the LC-1 meter with the sensor in price, I'd like to have a a/f ratio gauge also. PLX offers the DM-5 with the SM-AFR for just $269, vs the lc-1 with gauge for 399... the plx sounds much more attractive, but why then is the M-300 from plx $315 dollars? it seems that the only difference is that it has an ability to interface with stand-alone engine management. but other than that it doesn't list any reason why it would cost more.

I log with ecuexplorer and don't know how I would interface with the plx unit or more specifically how I would set EcuExplorer up to log from the plx unit, I'm imagining that it would connect via serial port to the laptop and something to do with another COM port. If possible I think that it would be convenient to be able to log all of the data in EcuExplorer along with the a/f ratio, so that I could get the data all in one excel document rather than splicing two different logs together. or would it be better to get a unit such as the zietronix unit with the display which comes with it's own logging software as does the lc-1 unit. I really don't know which unit is the best, although I'd like to keep cost to a minimum, would like a gauge or some sort of display, and the capability to log to a laptop.
