Default This Or That?

Hey fellas, thanks to a fellow member from nasioc here, i now have some pics (photoshopped) to compare and i need some feedback. Which looks better to YOU? i need all opinions here... im trying to decide which way i want to go with this.

Before: (stock w/ wing)

*****************OR**********************
After: Powdercoated/Painted Rims/Wingless

i really don't mind the wing at all. i kind of have the urge to go for the more "stealthy look" without the wing. well that, and i want to attract a little less attention (mainly the Five-O's).

SO what's your taste on this? like the stock silver on silver deal? or the dark rims to match the windows + wingless... ahhhh! i like both. maybe i should buy a back up pair of rims, and a back up wingless trunk. just switch it up every once and awhile... anywho, im rambling now...

It's really up to your taste. Some like wingless some dont. If you have a lot of street racers in your area the wing will probably draw them to you like flies on stink.
Without the wing they probably will think your not a street racer and will more than likely leave you alone.
It is 100% up to you. The rims look good pc'd.

Good luck on your hard decision. Personally if I had a sedan it would have the wing. IMO

One more thing, you should have posted this thread in the members car gallery section.

yea i dont mind the attention from other car enthusiasts. i dont really race anyone. I almost purchased a limited because of the wingless look. but i didnt want the leather interior...

Mods, move this to the correct section if needed.

I personally dont like the wingless look, but the powdercoated wheels look nice man. Have you considered the smaller wing? It attracts much less attention, also.

i started thinkin about that yesterday... silver on silver wingless. keep everything flowing..

the only reason i want to powdercoat the rims dark is to kind of match the dark windows/the rest of the black on the car (even though there isnt much)

tough decision...

i have considered the smaller WRX wing, but i dont like the style/shape of them. i figure, if im keeping a wing, might as well leave the big guy on there..

im going to do all the performance mods at one time when i get protuned.
i wouldnt mind having a bmw or audi, just too much money for me to afford. subaru is much cheaper to maintain and mod performance wise. im not saying its cheap, as its much more than i expected it to be..

but if something breaks on a beamer or an audi, you'll be payin $

plus, subarus have the sound none others have... thats what i love most

I hop back and forth with the wing vs no wing thing on my Evo. Your wing will be pretty difficult to remove... and once you do it you will have a shedload of holes to cover up... and you may find some unexpected paint wear from some of the sand particles that made their way between your wing and trunk.

I like the wingless look sometimes and I like the winged look other times. I just use some white electrical tape to cover up the holes. It makes me feel a little ghetto when I do that.

i know some may not want to hear this but the other day i was lookin at a scion coupe with the wing they come with. I really think that would look great and different on a sedan. check it out.

it looks good either way but i favor the wingless with tints. Just like you i would get a back up of each. I cant afford one yet but when i do i will go with a carbon fiber trunk. Honestly though, i would fix the wheel gap first.

Myself, i'd paint the wheels, keep the wing, tint and drop it. But it all depends on personsal preference.

i say keep the wheels silver...or buy another set. if youre going to rattlecan them...ok, but IMO its not worth the cost to powdercoat them...youre just gonna want to change them. Rotas will run you the same and will alter the look a lot more. I just got a wingless trunk myself and my favorite line was from my girlfriend "your car looks like its moving slower now". Your call!

if you go wingless i would take off both wings... looks better IMO.
as for the wheels i think they would look really nice the darker powder coated color.

yea its kind of a tough call... but thanks everyone for giving some opinions, its what i need...

plus i wanted to see what all your personal styles are about.

my problem with cars is i always have to be modding something. if not performance than looks it is. ive had this problem for years now, with every car i own.

I have two trunklids for my WRX, one with WRX wing, the other with STI wing. I can't decide either!! The small wing is on now but the large wing comes out this spring!! I say check the classifieds as sometimes trunks are sold alone with no swap, or purchase and paint a wingless trunk.
