Default MY2006 Forester & Impreza Campaign WVC 13

Just a heads up as i got this from work today and passing it on.

Basically, Subaru has initiated a campaign WVC 13 on certain MY2006 Forester and Impreza because they have determined there is an improperly routed wiring harness. The harness could have been pinched against the passenger front seat mount during production. If the wiring harness was improperly installed, an electrical short can occur.

The two safety risks are, the front passenger side airbag may could become disabled in which case it would not deploy as designed in an accident. This could expose the passenger to the possibility of serious injury. The second is that an electrical short circuit could in some circumstances cause a fire.

If you need further assistance you can call SOA at 1 800 SUBARU3

Hmm, no one from subaru informed me of this recall, I'll have to keep my eye out for more information.

The information on the recall will be sent out shortly to owners...usually the dealer gets the heads up first so parts can be ordered, etc.

If your vehicle is involved, you will receive a letter. (That is, if Subaru has your correct address, which you can check by calling them)
