Default Confirmed 18x8 rims that fit lowered WRX Wagon

Ok, I last asked about 17's that at first looked more like 18's. I prefer the 18" look much more but grip is slightly more important...So...

I need an 8" rim and if I can get it to fit properly under my fender in an 18" size then that's preferred.

Who has 18x8's on their wagons? Curious as to what choices we have.

What rim:
Offset:
Suspension:
Measured drop
(center of hub to bottom of fender):
I assume all will already have rear fenders rolled/cut.

Please post a pic if you can; side (drop), and rear (clearance view).

Thanks guys!!

Drew

What rim: SSR GT2, 18x8
Offset: +51
Tires: 225/40/18 Kumho Ecsta MX
Suspension: Prodrive springs on OEM struts
Measured drop (center of hub to bottom of fender): Unknown, but somewhere around 2" front and 1.5" rear

None of the fenders are rolled, and absolutely NO rubbing whatsoever. Clearance between the strut and inside lip of the wheel/tire is more of an issue than fender clearance. Got a great deal on these rims when Tire Rack had them on clearance.....

Any more feedback on these? I've read that the offset is ideal for wagons... are the Kumhos the only tires you have run on them? Also, have you done anything in regards to the clearance issues between the strut and the inside lip of the tire? Do you think they would rub against coilovers?

I think anything between +47~+53mm would be okay. It is really down to the tire choice though...

What rim: SSR Comp, 18x8
Offset: +51mm
Tires: 225/40/18 Kumho ASX
Suspension: Stock STi springs

Stock fender and no rub at all.

Fuzz - The Kumhos are the only tires I've had on the SSRs. Clearance between the tire/strut was close, but not to the point where I had to do anything about it. I have a feeling if I went with a 235 tire I would have had some problems.

Really can't answer your question on coilovers - not sure how much bigger they typically are compared to the OEM struts.

I have a very sad SSR GT2, 18x8 story. I'll post it a little later in this forum once I'm done crying. (FYI - this is a seller-error issue, nothing wrong w/ SSR or their manufacturing quality)

So it seems the consensus is that we may be limited to a 225. I don't know how wide the contact patch is (still have to search) but a 235 or more on a 17" rim might have an advantage - grip wise that is.

Going to be running 225/45/18 on an 18x8 Rota Formula. Stock suspension, going to be running STi Pinks. Wish me luck. Any pictures or sucess stories with this combo would be appreciated. Offset is +48
