Default Any news on a) Sunroof b) Folding Seats in New Impreza?

Just wondering if these will come out after 2002 is done.

I know the 2K Legacy never got a folding seat,
which was a bummer since the 95-99 has a great
one that lets you fit a Mountain Bike in the trunk.

Why can't they adapt the seats from the new wagon to the sedan?

thanks for the info! one out of 2 ain't bad.
looks like the factory roof retracts inside
too, which is nice (though taller folks will be giving up some headroom unfort.)

didn't prior gen. Impreza owners rig folding
seats on their own, some how?

You know, that's a good question, Gumball. Only problem is, I don't think that there have been any totaled WRX wagons that I know of. But I imagine they would fit. Both cars have the same interior...

Bah!! I had to call in reinforcements to get my new 8 ft. ladder home from the Depot. My girlfriend's Jetta, how embarrassing.

I want fold downs, I don't have child(s), Subaru hear my plea! At least ONE fold down!

The lacof fold-down seats in the WRX is soemthing I complained about when the car first came out - there can be no lgoical reason for not including fold-down rear seats.

I don't know about next year in the US, but there is a new age impreza sedan in Singapore that has stock split/fold down seats, but I think it isn't the WRX, it's some NA version. I saw it in a Impreza brochure I got from a cousin in Singapore. So, it may be possible to order a compatible seat for Impreza sedan that folds like the wagon's.

That is promising!

What I want to know is, why didn't they add this to the new Legacy? Its been 2 years now, and only the wagons have folding seats (to my knowledge).Whereas the old generation 95-99 Legacy had full folding seats in sedan & wagon. Anyhow, that doesn't seem to bode well for the Impreza.

They'd have to be idiots not to make the Impreza competitive w/ other compact sedans, since I'm sure the Jetta, Protege, Corolla, and Civic all have folding rear seats, probably 60/40 split. Its a commoditized feature these days. Time was, only VW was retarded enough only to have a pass through.
