Default How much is an STi motor worth

I will be selling the sti motor from the swap I just purchased. I got the entire swap for 7500 and I will be keeping the tranny and rear end. AND I just found out my wife is pregnant. So the motor has to go.

How much could one expect to get

04 Sti motor, entire harness (slightly damaged), pedal box for DBW, ECU, front cross member, cobb access port V1 with the street tuner software.

Think in 18 years the kid will be gone and you'll want the STi engine again...and when he is 10 yrs old he can start working to help pay for all his crap...(tiny hands fit in tiny places)....duh....and they can stitch closer together...

LMAO...

I guess I could keep it for now and see how things go.

Who knows wiring around here. I will need to splice the STi motor harness with my car harness.

I'd say $3k - $3200, depending on condition, parts, etc.

Good Luck!

I have looked into motors (was going to swaps my GC6) they were anywhere from 3k to 5K some with trannies, some without. Just put it on E-Bay and get what you get.

Or sell it to Bhhamblin for $2.00^^

If you want to get rid of quick, im sure 2-2.5k will overload your message box. If you have time on your hands and are willing to wait for a high payer 3.5-4k is dooable.

Congratulations on the baby. and contrary to Helmuts comment, there are no mistakes, only unexpected opportunities.

If you do decide to sell, PM me.
