Unhappy RIP my baby...

Hey everyone,

Here's some terribly sad news for me to share:
On Saturday, February 24th night time, during our cruise, I slid off the road into an approximately 40 foot steep embankment. It was a right hand curve, and I'm not sure what happened. All I remember is seeing a bunch of trees in front of me while I was in the air, I passed out before I landed...

Chris (Loomin), Ken (Mirage), and our friend Joey was by my side, although I don't recall talking to them, they said all my responses were: "How's my car... how's my baby...". The paramedics came and got me out, I stayed over night at the hospital and I've been home resting. I have some cuts and several big colorful bruises, as well as a concussion, I must've hit something when I landed. I've been pretty dizzy and had headaches. I'm getting better though.

My car has reached the end of its life and I'm glad he saved me. He's at the Mission Auto Wrecker now... I haven't went to see him yet, but we are going to part out as many things as possible. So if you guys have any stock parts lying around, please let me know. I don't even know what can be recovered, but I will try my best to at least get the blue STi seats.

I really want to thank all those who helped me that night and waited at the hospital. Huge thanks to those who went to Wings Night on Monday and got me such sweet gifts, you guys are awesome!

Take care, drive safe.

Love, Joanne

i'm going to miss you so so much..............

Geez, at least you're okay Jo. I didn't know. If theres anything off my car I can give you to loan for the time being, let me know.

PS. I know everybody is going to say, at least you're okay, the car can be replaced. Time to get a STi etc. Well, I know it'll take a while to sink in, but by the end of it all, you'll appreciate those comments as I did when my car chose to save me instead. Let me know if theres anything I, or we, can do.

That's really sad to hear but the important thing that I'm sure everyone will agree with is that you're ok. I'm happy to see the the NASIOC community helping you out during and after the incident.

Take it easy for the next little while and hope you feel better in the coming days.

I usually don't post anything overly serious but wow, that sucks. Good to hear you're in one piece.

Best of luck.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened. I went through a very similar experience in my old CRX, so I know exactly where you're coming from. Sounds like there was an emotional attachment to the car, which I can also completely understand.

What I learned is that, it's as long as YOU'RE ok. My bros once told me, "You can always replace a car."
