Default TX: APS SR56 Turbo

Currently getting an APS TSR70 installed, so I no longer have any use for this SR56. Turbo is in perfect condition. We thought it needed a rebuild until MZM pulled it out and inspected it. Turns out it was bad rings on the motor. Turbo has approx. 6k miles on a weekend/meet driven 02 Wrx. Car put down 388 on MZM's Mustang Dyno (Aka The Heartbreaker) $1300 shipped. Turbo is $2200 new.

The SR56 is the choice for the performance enthusiast who wants the ultimate in engine power whilst maintaining stock turbocharger orientation. Ideally suited to heavily a modified Subaru engine of 2.2 - 2.5 L capacity. With flow capacity to produce 500 hp at 14.5 psi and 550 hp at 22 psi, this turbocharger is for the serious street/strip racer.

$1300 Shipped. This is in a box ready to go! Turbo looks a little dirty in pics because it had just been pulled off the car. It has been cleaned since.

$1000 shipped, in the hopes that it really does not need a rebuild?

i have a question. why would an (almost) brand new APS $2200 turbo need a rebuild? this would kind of scare me away from buying one brand new even if in 6kmi its going to crap out, with just a 3 month APS war.?? are these known to need rebuilding so often?

rhinotech, read the post.

He was having problems with his car - he thought it was the turbo.
It was his engine, so its fine.
