I decided to try Plasti Dipping my Forge BPV tonight. It turned out pretty good. It looks nice now, but I really don't think the Plasti Dip will hold up to much mounting/remounting or opening of the valve. If you just paint it, mount it once, and never touch it, I think it will look OK, but if you have to take it on and off, or open it often, I don't think it will last. Anyways, here are the photos...

I don't know why people use this crap. It never holds up. And it is a dirt magnet.

It only looks good when you paint the part for the first time.

Did the wheels and the rear bumper on my hardbody. I'm kind of iffy on the wheels and will probably re-do them in white, but I really like how the bumper turned out.

My grille and horrible-trunk-chrome-strip have been dipped for over a year with no issues, and I wash my car weekly.

actually it does kind of work. did it on my gf's exterra and when they rotated the tires they came out fine. just have to cut around the outside of the hub cap if you are going to remove it.

Just wondering has anyone painted their rims other then black or that one in blue?

I want to paint my OEM rims a different color but trying to think of what might look good.

Try the metalizer. I used the Gold metalizer but they have a silver metalizer which makes it look gunmetal.

Did you use plastidip cans on your entire car? Or did you use a plastidip gun? I am very amazed. You did a great job!

plastidip is awesome. Very nice for keeping your wheels in good condition through all the mag chloride on the streets during the winter here in CO too
