Default Need a CEL code pulled

Does anyone know a place near downtown or east van that will pull a code for free? I think its my O2 but i want to make sure before i replace it.

Bonus question: I have a 2000 silverthorne metallic RS, i bought some "Subaru Quicksilver" touchup paint from Canadian Tire, it was the only silver for my year suby.. but its the wrong color. Does anyone know where i can get some touchup paint that would match? thanks.

It would be awesome if any of you would pull the code for me, any of you available some time this weekend? I can't imagine it would take more than 10 minutes!

It'd actually take about 30 seconds PM me as I'm free Saturday and most of Sunday

Third P0420 code, including my car I think the seal is startin to wear out on GC's gas caps. The one that got rid of the code for me is the one that Wal-Marts, of all places sells. Has a pressure relief button that I think is needed.

Yeah, it went away already after we tightened it up (or maybe it went away cause you pulled the code?) anyways, if it comes back again i'll head to wal-mart and look for that cap ;p thanks again

Ya, sometimes a car will have a hickup and the CEL will come on and its temporary or a one time thing. If it comes back again then something needs to be fixed.

Isn't P0420 related to the catalyst system ?

Yeah its something like "Catalyst efficiency below threshold"

It came back actually... i'm not sure. Ive heard everything from gas cap to O2 sensors going to the cat. I'll have to get it checked out sometime. I had a headgasket go recently, are things i heard about burning coolant affecting sensors or the cat something i should worry about?

There's a few things that can trigger that code. The simplest and cheapest is replace the gas cap. Anything else, and its something you should probably take your car to a shop for, something with fuel/emissions system that's not a sensor.
