Low beam bulb replacement suggestions (02 wrx)? *yes i read the FAQ*

I have been looking to upgrade my headlight bulbs for a while now. I read the FAQ and came out more confused than before. I hear that the orsam silverstars are a good upgrade as well as the nighthawks but i really dont know. Im looking for a relatively cheap bulb that has good light output and a nice color(anything but the dull OEM look). What would everyone suggest? I am leaning towards a bulb that can be ebay'd for a good price. Thanks everyone.

Your options with 9007s are unfortunately limited, and Osram Silverstars are not made in that type.
Avoid the crappy Ebay bulbs.

Wow, i really didnt notice how much we are limited in the case of an 02 wrx. So GE Nighthawks are the way to go? I just want a replacement bulb not one that come with seperate components. Thanks.

IMHO, the Philips VisionPlus are better than the Nighthawks...especially if you get a relay harness. Although a harness is not necessary it does make a difference.

Have you used both? Ive only used the GEs and have been quite impressed over stock. I still need to do the harness.

i've used both with a relay harness. the philips are better than the ge nighthawks

I've used both and settled on the VisionPlus'.....that was before the Lightwerkz conversion

Hey DAVE98RS, did you notice much of a colour difference between the GE's and the VisionPlus bulbs?

I switched recently from blue coated bulbs to GE Nighthawks and the improvement was amazing on a stock harness (relayed harness still on backorder). I'm not sure what made the most difference - getting rid of the crappy blue coated bulbs or the quality of the Nighthawks. Either way I'm happy and they were cheep cheep.
