I have been looking to upgrade my headlight bulbs for a while now. I read the FAQ and came out more confused than before. I hear that the orsam silverstars are a good upgrade as well as the nighthawks but i really dont know. Im looking for a relatively cheap bulb that has good light output and a nice color(anything but the dull OEM look). What would everyone suggest? I am leaning towards a bulb that can be ebay'd for a good price. Thanks everyone.

Just look a few threads down for some suggestions-
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1222270 Your options with 9007s are unfortunately limited, and Osram Silverstars are not made in that type. Avoid the crappy Ebay bulbs. |

IMHO, the Philips VisionPlus are better than the Nighthawks...especially if you get a relay harness. Although a harness is not necessary it does make a difference.

Have you used both? Ive only used the GEs and have been quite impressed over stock. I still need to do the harness.

Hey DAVE98RS, did you notice much of a colour difference between the GE's and the VisionPlus bulbs?
I switched recently from blue coated bulbs to GE Nighthawks and the improvement was amazing on a stock harness (relayed harness still on backorder). I'm not sure what made the most difference - getting rid of the crappy blue coated bulbs or the quality of the Nighthawks. Either way I'm happy and they were cheep cheep. |
