digital boost gauge, led bar graph.

Having looked the last couple of days I haven't found much.
AEM makes a boost gauge with LED's but it sits in a normal housing. It seems on the expensive side.
A few other vendors make gauges with led numbers like a digital clock, but that doesn't interest me, as I think the values fluctuate to quickly to be of any real value.

You'd have to make it yourself. I like the idea of doing that, with the LED's mounted in the A pillar. For the most part it would be a fairly stealthy setup.
I would like to be able to monitor boost to a certain extent, but I don't want to clutter up my dash with a million gauges, when boost could be indicated on a fairly small footprint anyway.
Anybody know of a commercially available product out there like the one in the link?

Dayum! The LED display is right out of Knight Rider! That's exactly what I'm after as well. I'd tuck one along the right edge of the cluster or maybe stick it beside the cupholder. As you mention, the only histogram readout I've seen has been in a standard round gauge.

From the same website, someone else does a little more detailed write up of an install and goes to the trouble of making circuit boards.
