At the Streets of Willow with my nephew's S2K getting 100 octane before the track event. It was my first ever track event and I'm hooked!

Why mess with the suspension geometry of the car and ruin the performance just to look stupid. Just my opinion. It's your car, you can make it as stupid as you like.

Different strokes for different folks, no need to bash for no reason. Just my opinion, but you can make yourself look as stupid on the internet as you like.

While it may be "messing with the suspension geometry of the car" he isn't doing it "just to look stupid". As a matter of fact, I bet just as many people (arguably more) like his car more than yours because it is unique. So many "enthusiasts" are cookie cutters these days, and so many are judgmental and closed minded. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad, it just means you prefer function over form and he prefers form over function.

Bottom line, people like you are the reason that my car looks like this.

Because we can, and because we have impressed enough people that we aren't going to lose any sleep if we don't impress you.

Anyway, Big Red is getting a new set up soon. TE37's in the Gunmetal with a red spoke, 19x11 +23. They'll be wrapped in 305/30/19's and I'll be tossing in a ride height system. Not bags, most likely Umbrella's kit.

Now I understand. Your post explains why you and others do this "stupid" thing to their cars; "to impress others". You guys are just like your cars I guess.

There is no argument about stupidity of dropping a car out of it's limits. Personal preference of being stupid. That is what it is. I am impressed.

Just so you know, that car is on bags. When it's in motion, I am assuming the owner would raise it right back up to correct suspension geometry, no? And just for the record, I am not a fan of bags, but I would never call it stupid because there are sooooo many pieces to the car culture puzzle. Lastly, I don't own a peanut so what am I doing in here!?

My car isn't on bags, nor is it "out of it's limits". I love how you're so quick to call someone stupid, again you haven't shown my anything impressive that's for sure aside from being extremely na´ve and egocentric. I would like to argue that mine is most likely more functional than yours, but whatever this isn't a sword fight.

Honestly, I built my car to impress myself more than anything and the result has been really positive.

haha thank you.

and yes the car is on bags, and yes i do raise it to drive/go over speed bumps/ enter places.. as for ruining the car, i think not. instead of being low on coilovers and ****ing my whole underbody up, i raise my car... so the underbody is still all together. as for not being able to "rally" my car.. im guessing you haven't drove a car with a suspension that cost 3700$... you get what you pay for and seeing that that is more than 99% of the coilovers out there, im pretty sure i paid well and got great with it. if you dont believe air ride can rally, i recommend youtubing "subie on air ride" and find the white 05 STI that is on air ride and is a built car.

this happens to be my drive height (lower than most would drive).. keep in mind, i drive 5 miles a day, if that. AND the streets are beautiful here.

I wish streets were beautiful here... I'm looking into Umbrellas VRH system just so I can manage getting around if I were to go a bit lower.

Yep. One of my good friends has the airlift setup on his STi, and I'm more than a little jealous. Being static gets real old..
