Default wtb Stock WRX Exhaust in bay area-

OK, You are probably wondering what the hell I'm thinking! Right now I have a DTM style stainless exhaust, and my gal wants a quieter ride, so I'll go along with her for now.(stealth) I know there's people with stock exhaust just taking up space in their garages, bedrooms, kitchen If you can help me out, that would be great! I listed on this forum because I ideally would like to pick it up locally- Thx!

I second Brucelee's comment...

but if what you're really looking for is a stock...02 WRX exhaust...I'd sell you mine.

Default Get It, WRX Exchange!

OK, Here's the scoop- Yes I have a lowly '95 wagon, L version, AWD. My mechanic gave me the heads up on a wrecked MY02 WRX w/1500mi. I bought the entire car, and my mechanic is doing the complete switch. The rear was smacked, and the stock exhaust was just that, smack, shmushed, wasted. He is trying to finish up the wiring in the next 2 weeks. From what I gather, nobody has attempted this yet- Am I correct?

Talking WWhooossshhh

OK, I got a change to test the car yesterday. It's damn fast, much faster than the stock 1.8L. With the turbo spooling, it really is the sweetest sound! My mechanic, Steve Barsotti, gets major kudos for keeping my engine bay super SANO for such a tight fit. No CEL whatsoever. He will put some test miles on the 1500mi. the WRX engine had originally to make sure there's no problems, THEN ITS MINE ! Have to remember to keep the rubber side down...

Lastly, The dtm exhaust is actually not very loud taking in consideration the 3 cats in the system!

Default Bhp?

I imagine the true hp to each wheel is like 167 or around there. Since it is a stock rex engine, with the exception of a cone filter and stainless exhaust, it should be the same. The hp number I got out of Sport Compact Car mag, which dyno'ed stock and modified rex's.

Tats, Do you know of a place on the W. Coast I can get my car Dyno'ed?

hmm.. I am looking for an AWD dyno as well. Maybe to set up an dyno day...

But I have not heard anything in the Bay Area. I think there is one in Southern California??

I would be willing to pitch in for a dyno day

Cheers

So, you're the one! I've been watching the magic that Steve has worked on the project. "He is good" would be an understatement. Steve has been very helpful with my Legacy turbo conversion.

Talking He's Excellent and Highly Reccomended!

There, I said it! For all the Sac locals, Steve's shop is a little drive, but worth it. You can get ahold of him at 916-663-3077. He's located in Newcastle, CA.

Thumbs up It's Fairly Stealth.....except for the...

Whoosh of the stock turbo bov. I love it! Even though it's bone stock, The car's got to be lighter than a WRX. Thanks for the input- I did locate a stock exhaust, although Gerlando and I have yet to hook up.
