Default Do your HVAC buttons have lights in them ?

I have an 06 STi. I noticed looking at some interior pics where it appeared that there were background lights in the hvac buttons. The only lights I have in my buttons are the little light in the front of the button which indicates on.
For instance, I can't read the temp setting at night unless I turn on the map light. Should there be lights in the background of the buttons ? If so, mine have never worked ! Thanks guys, Okey

Yeah, There are lights that light up the "white part", they are green at night. Warranty time.

Yes, but the part that lights up the white parts(text portion and the lines) on the face, are green.

Just to clarify a few things, the lights aren't green. The auto HVAC has three WHITE surface mount LED's inside each button. These shine directly into a clear plastic piece (optical transmitter like a fiber optic strand) and then it shines through the plastic face cap with the printing on it. The face cap itself is green plastic, hence the green lightup. A separate led is used for the amber on/off light. If these don't light up and you haven't tried to mod your HVAC it is warranty time.

Thanks for clearing that up. I have an appt. Thursday at 1:30 pm ! I wonder if it would be possible to make the button light up amber rather than green ? All my other lights are amber, including my Defi's !
