if you still have stock, you can throw them back on. Its probably worth the work for new struts

good luck

Please clarify - you're looking to get warranty work on a car with aftermarket parts?

I have aftermarket sway bars (cusco) on stock struts. My dealer wont warranty the strut-clunk cuz of the sway bars.

dealership needs to prove that the sways caused the struts to fail...the struts are a known problem with the STi's. They should do it. Bitch a little harder buddy. Good luck.

Thats an easy one, the stiffer sway bars and upgraded endlinks put undue stress and took the car out of factory suspension specs...etc etc...

That's not how it works. The dealer doesn't have to 'prove' anything. All they have to do is say "No" and point you to the door.

I had the same problem with my STi, I had my right rear strut replaced, I also had a white line sway bar up front (I think it's the 22mm or 24mm, which is not much bigger then stock), they replaced the strut with no questions.

I find it hard to believe that subaru would deny warranty work because the sway bar was replaced and upgraded...Doesn't Liberty Subaru among many many other dealerships advertise SPT parts???? Does this mean if you put on SPT sway bars or other SPT part you have now voided your factory warranty? I don't think so.

Sounds like you need bitch some more, they should replace the strut, it's a VERY common problem. Good Luck
