Default KS projector headlights at Slickcar

Link
Do those really have projectors in them? I assume they are for halogen.

Would it be easier to retrofit those to use HIDs then a regular reflector headlight?

I thought about getting lightwerkz to do a retrofit for me, but it is mighty expensive. The JDM ones are the opposite side so useless, but do they have continental euro ones that are set up correctly?

I did read the faq on hids and have been enamored with them for a long time. It may be that lightwerkz will be the best solution for me, but I wanted to check on these first since they are not horribly expensive.

Yikes, are you considering these? Those aren't projectors, they're reflector halogen assemblies... you can tell right away. I've also read up on someone's install and modification of these, and the fitment is less than ideal.

That is why I asked

It says
Quote:
Subaru WRX Impreza 2002-2003 Projector Headlights
that led me to believe they were well projector headlights If they aren't it seems to be false advertising to me. I searched already but did not find anything. Can you give me a hint where I might read up on whoever's install you mention?

They look similar to the picture Here I thought maybe they were the same thing just modified afterward.

You are correct, it is false advertising. I think what they meant to say was that it's a set of "projector-look" headlights. Very different from actual projectors, lol.

Btw that's a gorgeous picture you linked there.

Well since you showed up I sent you a pm (though perhaps I should have left it in the forum for all)

These are the crappy lights sold mostly on Ebay. There is a version of them with projectors but they are really bad projectors. Avoid these like the lighting plague that they are.
