Hey guys, I'm Chase and I recently bought a brand new 2013 STI hatch in World Rally Blue (best color of course). It came with a few options like the short shifter, auto dimming mirror/compass/garage door opener, exhaust finishers, rear bumper cover, alarm shock sensor, basically I got everything I wanted. I live in the South Bay of Northern California and I flew down to Bakersfield on April 15th 2013 to pick up my new baby, got her with only 5 miles on the odometer. Here's a pic of her at the dealer, bone stock and ready for me to begin modding

Here was my last car, an 02 wrx I did a full hawkeye (exterior) swap on. Just to show you what I came from and the level my car will one day be at again. I did ALL of the work on this car by my own hand, not some shop (except a clutch swap) (photo cred for this pic goes to Brendan Bannister, screen name: Brendanthegreat408)

And taped off ready for the 3 hour drive home

I flashed to a stage 1 map with 14 miles on the clock (had the accessport before I even had the car) and finally went stage 2 around 1700 miles, yes I followed a break in procedure, probably not yours so if it isn't keep it to yourself we all have different methods.

The day I got home from the dealer and into my driveway I immediately started to debadge, disabled the DRL's, did a front license plate delete, swapped the front turn signals with multi-coated ones and put in yellow high beams and Rally Armour Mudflaps the next day. Random first mods but oh well

Shortly following that came a clear bra, everything from an inch behind the hood scoop forward is wrapped, along with the mirrors and it looks killer, hardly noticeable. Oh and a new lip, all SIX of the hella supertones I had from my old wrx (yes it's overkill, yes I love them),and Plastidip'd the entire grill (I hated the 2 tone color) and side badges, finally the intake silencer delete along with a muffler shop doing a muffler delete (temporary until I got my turbo back) also did some tail light overlays that I messed up and got wrinkled, I'll have a shop redo them soon.

From the install before my tune. This thing is a piece of art

Looking clean so far. How did you wire up your hellas? I'm liking the idea of 6.

Your old WRX used to be my desktop wallpaper! She was a beaut. You desperately need a new camera haha, but congrats on the new purchase.

With what you did so far, I'm surprised you didn't plastidip the exhaust finishers.

Thanks! Haha my last car got pretty popular, but I don't miss it and my goal is to surpass that level with my new one. And they're all terrible iPhone pictures, I need a digital camera but
car parts > camera

Even though everyone hates on the exhaust finishers but I actually like them, ill probably get bored of them one day and paint em but for now I like it.

quick update, in the last week I've cracked my windshield (its about 2 feet ) had my rear view mirror rattle off and strip the screws, I think it was due to my loud exhaust. And do a Bi-Xenon FX-R 3.0 projector retrofit/headlight paint job. These are terrible pics it was getting dark, I'll get some better ones soon.

The cutoff actually kind of sucks. The bulbs don't seat right (thanks to TRS) but I didn't realize that until they were mounted. Output is great and so are the high beams, but the actual cutoff is meh, the two projectors have different shaped cutoffs

are they sending you a replacement? I'm thinking of doing an fx-r retro sometime this year too, unless TRS come out with the new mini ds3 kits

It completely sucks, they send it to you folded so it sags in the middle, plus fitment is garbage. I would never buy it again. I want to go get an oem rep so badly
