Default Does anyone regonize this car. I just bought it and need to know the mods.

Does anyone recognize this car? I purchased it in Dallas, I'm trying to find the list of mods before I begin tuning. So far I know it has an APS 65 cold air intake, coilover (I don't know the brand yet) A seibon cw2 hood, and seibon trunk. The front rotor are also aftermarket, but I have no idea what make. IF anyone knows the original owner I would appreciate any details he or she might be able to pass along. I purchased the car from a dealer in Dallas who had no real info on the car.

I also noticed clear sticker along the top of the windshield, so the car may have had a roof rack and some point.

good luck. I don't think i would ever buy a car like that from a dealer. There is a good chance the owner couldn't sell it to someone who knows subarus and would know what to look for. The rice mods don't help.

Fortunately for me I only plan on using it as a daily driver for now. I just trying to find out any info I can. I'm sure its a long shot, but I if I don't ask I'm not likely to get an answer. I've already searched by VIN to see if anything would show.

I'd say your best bet is to sift through this thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1223145

Also, get ready to be flamed.

You can also check for sale for that god awful hood. Chances are the guy wanted to part out/trade and couldn't find anyone that wanted it.

Looks like it has either painted rotor hats, or a girodisc 2pc floating rotor set? From what I can see, its not all that "riced out", although I personally wouldn't keep the CF.

The rotors aren't painted, and I'm not to concerned about getting flamed. Its my first wrx and I know I have a lot to learn.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I like the hood and the car, but I feel like the car isn't complimenting the hood enough, CF all the things!

Best bet is to take a pic of the engine bay, and get under the car to check the downpipe out. most common mods right there.

If you have the Carfax on it you can check to see where it was purchased and/or serviced and post in that regional forum.

I think I saw that listed on autotrader last weekend in Dallas. I believe the carfax said it was sold to the dealer at auction. I'm kind of curious what you got it for, if it's the same one that I saw I think it was listed for $9k+. You might try TXIC, but no guarantee it was a local car just because it sold at a TX auction. Good luck figuring out the mods.

I'm confused as to why you would purchase a car not knowing much about it at all?
Hope you can find what/who you are looking for.

I bought the car because I was looking for a WRX and i wanted something that wasn't stock but wasn't heavily modified. I wanted to purchase from an individual but I my wife asked if I could find one from a dealer because of previous bad experiences.

As far as not knowing much about it, I think in many situations thats par when buying a used car.

I went over the carfax as well, the car came out of Georgia and then to Florida if I remember correctly. Then it ended up in Texas. Finally the guys at fidelity bought the car at a dealer auction early this month.

My whole point in buying the car was to get something fun that I could daily drive until I find a new full time gig. So far the car is a lot of fun. I understand the carbon fiber hood and trunk may not appeal to some but my wife digs it, and that matters to me.

This isn't my first modified car, but it is my first Subaru. Based on what I understand about these cars I figured it would be a fun daily for now. If things go well, I might actually look at building it into another daily/track day car.

All in all this allows me to drive while I continue to build my turbo miata.

Price wise the car was a little over 10k with tax and title.

As I said, I realize I have a lot to learn, but I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks for the response on the price, I was checking out a few cars including that one, then I noticed it was gone a few days ago. I didn't really have a barometer for the used market and your info will help me out. As I said earlier good luck on the information search.
