New member with a new car.

Hey every one!

I have been checking out this post for a little bit now and decided to join. I bought My 02 Impreza about a month ago and I love it. Yesterday was my 1st time driving in the snow. What a difference. I will never buy another car other than a Subaru again, as long as I don't have any major problems with it.

I plan on doing a few mods after x-mas. They will have to be simple since I am definitely no mechanic.

So far I had an alarm, keyless entry and an automatic car starter installed.

I'll be talking to all of you later.

Welcome to the board

I'll be the first to make fun of you for having an automatic (I assume because of the remote start)

These guys are pretty good with the mods, so if u need help, be sure to post it and I'm sure someone will help you out

I actually don't mind the auto but miss having a standard

It dosen't really matter because it is alot better and more fun than my old car It's a good commuter car. I drive a 169 miles a day.

I want the hood that was on the 01. I like the looks of a vented hood with the scoop.

although I don't drive that much, I have managed a good 23k miles since march

damn car is so much fun to drive!!!
neways, good luck with the car, remember to drive safe, the car is fun, but not indestructable..a lot of new ppl are learning the hard way.

Yeah after checking out some of the other posts I noticed that there have been a lot of crashes lately.

I am not as worried about my self but more about the other people driving around me. Especially on 495 where people go from 70 to 20 mph in about 3 seconds just because some one is pulled over on the side of the road.

Don't mind the Mexican, he's just clingy like that.

You could always put a WRX hood on if you like the vented/scoop type hood, given it's doens't have "vents".

You'll find that folks here in NESIC tend to joke around with eachother alot, so just take things in stride and you'll do fine.

So don't worry.

Also, Keith -- 23k miles since March is nothin'... I've got over 25,500 since July.
