Default Would 1 HID jdm projector work with 1 Non-hid?

Anyone know if this would work? Reason is i bought one HID projector and am about to buy another one but its non-hid. I want to have HID, would i have to buy a complete aftermarket kit and do it that way? or would they both have to be HID to begin with.?

That is a horrible idea. No offense.

For the HID housing, you'll need "OEM" HID parts. It will have a good light pattern, but throw light onto the wrong side of the road.

For the non-HID housing, you'll have to buy a rebased kit. It will have a bad light pattern as well as throw light on the wrong side of the road.

If they look identical, send them to LightWerkz for a projector retrofit. You'll get a superior projector and OEM components.

You'll already be in $300+ for a rebased kit. Do you have the ballast and bulb for the HID housing? If not, that'll be another $300+ (I think you'd have to buy the pair). Might as well do it right and send it to LightWerks.

what he said.

you can have them different but it will be very bad for lighting purposes... especially considering the HID one will be right hand drive and you'll have to aim it down and create excessive foreground lighting and glare in the wet.

What the dirty guy said.

You should send the headlights out to LightWerkz for a retrofit. With the JDM OEM ballast and bulb now apart, you could sell it on ebay for someone else who has a set of JDM HID headlights as spare parts.

Their work is second to none, I highly recommend them.
