Default Hybrid axles

I have an 06 sti cv shaft and an 03 cv shaft. im doing the complete 6 speed swap, except hubs and brakes. i am wondering if i can take apart the each at the tulip on the hub bearing side and make a hybrid. im wondering if the spline count on the inside of the tulip is the same on both. if i dont get a reply, ill repost when i get these apart, just wondering before hand.

Thanks
Jon

Did you ever figure this out? I'm preparing for a 6mt swap and I'm wondering the same thing!

It has been done before. Rally teams do it all the time. 4StarMotorsports in Canada has done some sort of hybrid axle swap to use R180 with WRX hubs and such.

I emailed them and haven't heard a thing though.

Upon searching, I found some posts by Javid (of 6gun, I believe), in which he hinted at the fact that it might be possible, but he wasn't sure. He seemed to have at least a little knowledge of why it *might* be possible...

So, I pmed him, asking if he ever figured it out for sure. I have yet to hear back.
