Default Who's putting a deposit this weekend for an 08?

I really like the new (real) pics of the car on the track. Ok, minus the grille.
I can assume most dealers will take a deposit for those eager enough.
I sure hope Subaru Canada prices them in line with the US! Subaru are you listening?
I'll take mine in white...unless, of course...Sonic Yellow is available:-)

Looks not withstanding, I'd like to wait until I see some concrete technical specs on the WRX and possibly STI before I'd consider trading up.

No offense, but I am glad the 2008's look the way they do. My 06 will probably gain some more resale since these new models just don't compare. Sedan ftw.

I'll still show some respect though, afterall they are Subarus!

Expect to keep on getting ripped off at the dealership btw. They don't care to factor in that our dollar is doing much better than it used to. Subaru of America site retail price: 33,495 = 38,616 Canadian... and yet we pay 48,995 give or take before taxes. You never know though, price may drop for the hatchback... good luck

hate it.

not like when the 06 came out and i thought it looked awkward and grew to love it. i just plain hate the design of this car.
i'd think that subaru will have a hard time selling those hatchback assboxes for $50,000

i think the hatch idea is cool and from what ive seen the back end of the car isnt too bad, the interior looks pretty nice but pretty plain but the front of the car just kills it..it looks so dumb!

Looks like a cross between a saab 92 and a really rough crap I took after drinking too much draft beer. I like the saab, but not in my subarus.

The road and track shots are so much more informative than the crap motor trend ones.

I like the hatch vs. the wagon. The wagon always looked wrong to me.

Remember, there is a sedan too.

Grill swap would be my first mod, lets not joke about that. wheels too....im usually not picky about wheels but those are ****e. Im looking at STI anyways....student loans are soon paid off!

that integrated hoodscoop is way too weird looking.. the interior looks like a nice change..

the front is.. err.. need i say more?.. the tail lights look like e90 sedan..

and that still looks like a wagon to me..

The interior is still rubbish... looks like something from a car in the late 90s

Poor subaru, always 5 years behind the times

So . . . i'm guessing that NONE of the parts on the new 08' is swappable with any older model imprezas

but why would I want to do that? :P

weak, i dont like the new one
subaru's goin downhill.. when i think subaru.. i think rally which has the following characteristics

-big hoodscoop that pops out, (not integrated smooth) which tells ppl to watch the F!@k out
-big ass foglights which let ppl know to get out of the way or else you will burn them down
-big wing which means business..tells ppl your car is so fast you need an upside down airplane wing off a 747 to keep you on the ground
-and general styling makes people double look at it when its parked and say "damn, check that out" something that when you have no idea what it is, and see it, you can just tell it fast...

the new car.. has none of that..which means teh lose.. ill be watching to see how the sales go

HAHA. I love the first line. The hood scoop looks too Saabish. I like the concept of the integrated scoop, but I like the ones that stick up and say "Watch the F out".

That guy does look really small like a mini munchkin or something in that car. I've found that some cars look good only without people in them. People can make the proportions look all off and wrong depending on how close they sit to the front of the car.
