Default Talk about not reading my manual

I've just been changing my oil @3k with 5w -30 dino and fram filter... what other maintance should I've done by now?? I'm goin to read the book tonite but it doesn't hurt to ask...

Do a search on fram filters and see what you find...
And the service needed depends on your mileage.

hey yonutz----dont use fram the filter aint up to anything. they spend too much in advirtizing n not enought in tech. subie uses purilator n u should too-n at 7500 or better, oil n tire rotation

I've been changing mine regulary right at 3000 mi. with Castrol GTX 10w-30 and using the Subaru Filter. I storingly suggest you get these from the local dealer. It is definitely worth the extra dollar or two over the Fram.
Also, be sure to get the crush washer for the drain plug. These are NOT re-usable.

oops... crush stuff... oops... actually I have 21k miles on the orginal crush washer... and to tell you the turth I forgot it this last time... oops

I go 5000 - 6000 miles between changes with Mobil 1 10W30 and subaru filter.

If the oil smells burnt or nasty, then I will change it sooner.

does not replacing the crush washer just cause a leak? i didnt replace mine last time i changed the oil and it was fine....

Like I said before I have 21K miles on my subie all done by me! and I drive like an idot.. trust me... nah just kidding... anyways yea that crush washer is a mystery... I haven't replaced it ever since my first oil change and... the last time (as we speak) there no crush washer in... its been this way for a month now.. and I still have the same amount of oil in my car... so... can anyone explain???
