PGH Spring Cleaning Sale (Rims,Utec, BOV,Tires)

Trying to prepare for the upcoming AutoX season and clean out our overflowing shed. I am located south of the Pittsburgh area. The rims/tires, I will meet someone within reason for delivery. The smaller items can be shipped.

What's up for sale:

I have a set of Motegi MR-7 Rims. 16x7 5x100, Silver with corded tires. There are smaller scratches in certain locations from a heinous key I had for the lug nuts. They were my AutoX rims and they were swapped off and on frequently. No issues with the rims, and they look excellent. I do presently have an individual interested in these, but will place them on here to see if they may go quicker.

I'm looking to get $350 for the rims and am willing to have the tires removed for an additional cost.

My brother has a set of 18" Kazera KZ-S rims with almost new 215/40/18 Pirelli P-Zero Neros. They still have most of the ticklers on them. Silver and 5x100. These rims are hot and I would run these daily, but I went for gold instead. Looks much better on my dark car. He's asking $500. SOLD

My current R-comps! 250/40/17 They are Yokohama Advan-032R with a treadwear of 60. They are a harder compound and I figured they would just last longer. They are tough to get warm and keep warm in an Auto X environment. These are definitely track tires and any time trial or lapping day guys may benefit from these. Have to remove them off the rims and will only do so once I know they are sold. Otherwise I will make due on them. They have around 6 events on them, so they are very much new and not too heat cycled. Asking $350 for them. Lot's of treadlife left on these.

My brother has a set of Eibach springs for an 04 sedan. Still in the box never touched, just opened he's asking $100 SOLD

I have a GoFastBits BOV. Only used for a summer and I loved both the 60/40 and 100% functions. The reason I'm selling this is I cannot run it in my class and am now competitive so it would come under scrutiny. Asking $100 SOLD

Lastly the Turbo XS Utek with map switch already wired. I'm asking for $450 and this can be shipped. I have a 2002 wagon and have never installed this. Purchased last year off of another NASIOC member. Still in the box he sent me. I believe this works on 02-04 WRX models. SOLD

May be interested in tires, but would need to take one off and see fitment on 04 STi.

Usually they don't fit but I was told the same about 245/40/17s and they fit without any mods.

My buddy is an Audi Tech so I can grab your wheel take it off and check it out on my spare wheel. If that's cool with you....

turbokonejo- Have an offer in PM previous to your post. Not looking for any trades. Sorry. Have the next few steps and incarnations for my car all ready to go, just need to rid myself of the items that are no longer necessary. You are definitely in the que if things fall through w/ the first interest.

PA04STI- I am running the 255 on an 02 wagon with 8mm spacers(5 would be fine), no rolling of the fenders and a substantial drop. I started running Victoracers in 255 size before these and I got those off of Crystalhelix (04 sti). I'll find out from him what spacers and etc he was running for the size. He now runs 315 ft 275 rr for AutoX with a little rolling and Mad heavy springs. These have a little more meat to them and I was experiencing rubbing in the front and a little in the rear depending on how hard I was pushing through the turns. I'm running these on Racing Hart CPO-35s and I think they are 17x7.5. Pretty sure whatever stock Sti Rims are is what both my sets are. The Victos definitely bulge mushroom style, but the Advans look like a perfect fit... but HUGE

I have 3 autoXs coming up starting the 15th. are you worried about rim size or rubbing on the car? I may be able to get you a tire if you'd like to meet me half way off of 79. Let me know. The victos you can see the little bit of bulge but the Advans don't have this large a bulge: (personal problem I guess)

Uncle Tattoo- My bro wants to check with UPS. Not a small or light box so will let you know ASAP on the shipping.

Yeah I know Justin I bought his SSR Comps that is what I am running with the 245s. Actually the more I think about it RComps are a little to much for me right now I need a little life out of my tires. Think I am just going to get MXs 245/40/17s. I also don't want to have to use spacers for teh road course. And I think 250s will rub without spacers.

Sounds good 04STI... These tires definitely will last, but MXs are definitely a fine tire. (drive on those daily) Hope to see you up the Beave. I'll be on the VDP

I have no idea the revision. I'm pretty much illiterate about ecu's. Crystalhelix is gonna learn me once I get set up. (he just doesn't know it yet

- ha ha. I do have a few people interested but that is definitely an enticing offer. You willing to sell the accessport?

I was going to look for trades for a week or two for the AP and then if there are no takers I'll end up selling it outright and buying a UTEC.

It sounds like all UTEC versions will work fine for me since my car is an '02.

were you having trouble with the accessport, or you prefer the utec? I may be moving so someone told me the Utec is very fidgety with altitude changes. Since I may be moving to CO that could be a problem

No problems with the AccessPORT at all, I just want to play. I have a laptop now that I can actually use to tune with the UTEC. I didn't before.

Excellent. I believe we've almost finalized the sale on the Utec. Keep me posted as an option for selling the AccessPORT. I was thinking of purchasing a newer model, but still roughing it on a budget. I'll let you know if anything changes

BUMP- Yokohama's are off of the rims tomorrow and just reviewing the original post... Motegi's are still up for grabs. R-comps are definitely worthwhile for the time trial or road race guys. Strong compound and will manage heat well. AutoX not so much. Good to start out, but hard to keep warm. Price drop to $350...
