Default TiC Fender Braces *NEW*

SOLD!

As seen here: Clicky

I bought these in a group buy in a different forum.

Clint from TiC got a little too excited when he was shipping these out and sent me 2 sets... in 2 different boxes, too . At first I thought each fender brace came in its own box. I open one box and there's a set. I'm thinking, maybe the army man is in the other box ? Nope, another set of fender braces in the other box .

I called Clint right when I opened the boxes. He when I told him. He said to sell these locally and send him the moneys. Either the buyer can send the money to TiC directly or to me. Either way, TiC is getting their moneys and the buyer is getting these.

I'd prefer a local buyer in the NOVA area.

Thanks,
paolo

$70 and they're yours!

Just FYI, these are awesome. I just installed mine yesterday, and noticed an immediate difference. Front end feels more solid. I wish I didn't let them sit around for 6 months.

I'm in NOVA and would like to have them. Sounds like you're a bit south. You ever make it to Reston and/or Fairfax?

I also agree on the awesomeness of these.

I've had them on since they came out...great product.

I'd get them for my white RS, but I think I am just putting double stockers on that one.

I should be free tomorrow. Any where in NOVA is cool by me.

Also, I work in Sterling off of Sterling Blvd/Shaw Road. I'll be at work Wednesday - Sunday.

I can't wait to get these things on. Maybe tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Install hints:

1 - Have a 14mm Offset box wrench & a ratcheting wrench
2 - Since you have a wagon, remove the 3 10mm bolts holding the fender on in the engine compartment, remove the 1 10mm bolt holding on the fender at the top of the door (have to open the door to get to it), & loosen the bolt at the bottom of the door. This gives you enough play to pull the fender away a bit.
3 - Once you've got the fender liner pulled away, start with the bolts you can easily see (the bottom on both the front and back)
4 - Next remove the top bolt in the back
5 - Put the offset box wrench on the remaining bolt (top in front) and simultaneously pull on this wrench as well as on the stock fender brace. Move both in the same direction. This will pull the factory brace vertical so you can get the ratcheting wrench on there, which makes the process much simpler.

I forgot step 6: Go to Subaru dealer and buy replacements for the fender attachments you broke.

Wednesday or thursday would be good. Sterling's right down the street (well down the greenway) from me. PM me a phone number and we can setup a meet. I'm free most days so, I can come by at lunch or something.

Subie Gal did the install without removing any of the fender bolts. She did it all by pulling the fender liner out. I was going to try doing it that way myself.

Its easier to do with the Sedan. Its doable with the wagon, but was worth the extra 2 minutes to me.
