Default Gauge cluster questions.

Hello all,

I've sone my searching and have come up with a bit of useful information, but not enough to justify my purchase. I have an 04 WRX and have found an 06 STi cluster for pretty cheap.

By searching, I have found plenty of testimonials about the 05 STi cluster going into an 04, and how to mod it to work. I have not found ANY info on the 06 however. I know the 06 STi is a 'drive by wire' configuration and would like to know if the cluster is different or if it's the same as the 05 (Which I have the writeup for).

Any input on this, pros or cons would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone knows for sure if it will work or not, please let me know as well.

Thanks!

The 05-06 clusters are same-same. To put it into a 04 you will have to do the mod to make it fit. The DBW pertains to the throttel body only and will have no effect on guage swaping

Okay, so I got them all hooked up and working, and contrary to popular belief, the shift light AND buzzer work fine. However, the BRAKE light remains on at all times, as do the Diff. Temp and ABS lights. If there's anyone who knows how to disable these, I'm all ears.

-Brake light maybe just a polarity issue:
Try unhooking the switch under the center consol at the base of the E-brake handle. If it goes off when unhooked its a real good chance its polarity.
-Diff temp will be on cuz you have no rear diff temp sensor:
Get a wiring diagram and cut the hot wire to the light.
-ABS lights will be on cuz the sensors are different on the STI vs the WRX
Again find the hot and cut-er

I will send you a PM with sumthing that should help ;-)
