Smelly '02 OBS

Sometimes, after 'spirited' driving there is a profound stink coming from the car, smells like sulfer. When I first smelt it I thought there was a gas leak at my house, then I smelt it again.

I'd heard about the cosmolene they coat the motor with...how long does this take to 'burn' off, and does it smell like rotten eggs?

The only other time I'd smelled this smell was when a car had a bad catalytic converter...couldn't be that with only 1068 miles on it...

My car stank all the same when I got it. If you use the same brand of fuel every fill-up... try swtiching. I switched from BP to Amoco and it made all the difference. I now have around 8000 miles and no smell at all. I don't really know if it was just adding more miles to the car or the fuel that made the difference, but it did go away.
