Unhappy abs light on and no AWD

I just pulled the engine in my 97 leggy gt and before we pulled there was no problem...the AWD system worked and the ABS light was not on...Now that we put the engine back in, the light came on and it is only in FWD...help me!?!?!? im suffering without my AWD...any help would be appreciated...

o.O How do you even know your AWD system isn't working? If you have a MT, that's not possible, unless your rear diff exploded or something... If you have an AT, you'd better check solenoids, I think Duty C is the one that controls the AWD/FWD...

As for the ABS light, have you checked fuses? have you checked to make sure the ABS unit is still in the engine bay? is it plugged in?

I think if the ABS unit was gone he'd notice and would probably be complaining about having no brakes at all, not just no ABS!

There's nothing directly associated with an engine swap that would affect the ABS functionality or the AWD system. My guess is that you maybe missed a ground when you were reassembling things, or caught a wiring harness and accidentally yanked it during the engine removal or re-install.
