Default WTB: OEM wheels that will fit my TS Wagon

Hey guys, I am looking to buy some OEM wheels that will fit my 04 Impreza TS wagon, which is basically the same thing as a WRX wagon just not as fast. Right now it has those steel wheels with hubcaps (I know it's sucks) and I am due for new tires, so I would also like to get some new alloy wheels to spruce up the car a little more. I believe the stock on mine are 15 inch, would 16 inch alloy wheels work though? I know you guys are constantly upgrading your wheels from OEM, so I'd be happy to take the OEM stuff off your hands for a fair price of course.
thanks

Yes, 16's would be just fine. You could even do 17's or 18's if you chose the right tires so they don't rub. I replaced the stock 13" steelies on my 93 Impreza wagon with some 16" Legacy GT alloy rims, and they work just fine. Just make sure that the lug pattern is 5x100. All OEM Subaru rims are 5x100 except for 05+ STi, and I believe 92-97 SVX which are 5x114.3.

Right on, I was going to see if you wanted to swap front seats, my 03 WRX seats for your stock TS seats, I seemed to have misplaced my stock seats and keep playing with the idea of trading the car in.

Yeah, as you have already found out you can go to a 16" rim with no problems.

The real question is "why" ?

The 16" rims are heavier, and while the stock ones are generally in demand during the fall when people are looking for winter wheels, during the spring time lots of folks are looking to unload their winter wheels, and you can pick up a cheap set fairly easy.

The older 15" Legacy alloy wheels are fairly light weight, and strong and are for sure cheaper then a 16" wheel, especially when you factor in the relative tyre costs. The older Legacy wheels are rather non descript, and dont attract much attention, which might not be what you are looking to do, however.

Let me see if I can post a link to some 15" rims...

EDIT: Check out this thread. Sandblasted & painted, these wheels should be fine:

The answer is availability, there are 400,000 people with WRX's, versus any 15" alloys available for the Subarus.

Plus the 00/01 RS Alloys are considerably lighter and stronger than the 15" Legacy or Outback alloys. Plus the steel wheels on the TS are heavier than my 18" Rotas were.

And this way he can have his bling for 3 seasons with some decent summer rubber and put some good all-season or snows on his 15" steelies for winter.

+1. My 16" RS alloys w/tires are lighter than the stocker 15" steelies.

Bought these used in 2001.

I have some OEM wrx stockers. I just took them off and they have ~7/32 tread left with even wear with 205/55/16 Goodyear RSA tires. Three rims are in good condition and one has some curbage and scuffs. Send me a PM if interested and I will get you some pics if so.

Just an FYI, TSubaru... I picked up a set of 4 2003 WRX rims with tires. Perfect condition rims, and 1k mile old Yokohama all seasons. I paid $275 for the set... it was a good price. Just for a ballpark idea...
