Hey guys,
I am in a market for a 350Z with decent miles, no salvage or reconstructed titles. My range is $17K - $18K. I am located in MA but I'm willing to drive out some distance into sorrounding states if the deal is right. If you're looking to sell or you have contact with someone that is looking to sell, please PM me or reply to this thread. Thanks for looking!

Mike

Default why

Why buy a Z when you can get an STi?
For one thing the visibility to the rear of the Z is extremely limited
through the Z's mailslot rear window?
For another why would you want to sit in a foxhole, which is the feeling you get in a Z?

I'm not talking about roominess.
It seemed to me that I was sitting down too low in the car because of the foxhole like setup.

Jeremy, I guess things are for real if they're on NASIOC

I can't get into an STI for the money I am looking to spend. 350Z has more luxury and is a good performer. I need to start wokring on my house, and stop adding parts to the car I've been wanting a Z since I drove one on business trip for a week. My WRX is going up for sale. Sad to see it go.

I'll tell you the truth when I rounded down my car choice to 2 cars the only other car I considered in the low 20k range was the 350Z. The performance is alright but looks wise the Z blows the wrx/sti out of the water

Z has a big shapeless butt.
Z is a little sexy but the STi is raunchy.

Yup, I'm on it I've been looking around. Cars.com is another one that gets lots of volume as well. My best friend is a small car dealer so he's looking at auction listings for something good for me. Just another angle I'm working. He's such a good friend that he'll let me roll the transaction through his dealership so my purchase is not contingent up me selling my WRX first. So, I can take my time and find a good deal and still not worry about walking to work

I'm going to look at a local Z this afternoon, black with black leather, decent miles, clean carfax, owned by an older weekend warrior guy who garaged it. You won't believe how many tainted Z there are out there though. I even see dealers post cars up that have 2 or more accidents on record and try to pass them at a clean record price. This is definitely a 'buyer beware' scenario. I've even seen one that had 6 owners in 2 years. Hot potato

Can you say more? I am aware of early 03 transmission grind. I am on a look out for that. Any other issues I should be aware of? let me know if there's something specific I should check for when looking at the car this afternoon. I'll do the general inspection but the more I know, the better I'll do when I evaluate the car. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

PS. Been lookin on my350z.com. Hard to find anything for sale in northeast. Not many people own these cars around here and want to sell them.

03 with low miles is in my price range. Newer models will be more than what I want to pay for unless they have lots of miles. Still looking
