Default STI coming around new years??

I just got back from test driving a WRX. I went to a FORD/SUBARU dealership were my dad is the service manager on the ford side. The owner of the dealership told me to wait until new years because the STI will definatly be out. I told him i heard it will be at least a year, and he just said "trust me!!" I said i will believe it when i see it and he went to his office and pulled out the dealer brochures that he already has waiting to be put out onto the showroom floor. I hope he is right because i dont want to wait that long for no reason.

As in a brochure that shows a US spec Sti? Do you know how badly people would love for you to scan some images from that? Did he give you one?

Quit teasing!

Did you see the brochure or not?

Or did he just pull out a random pile of brochures...

IMO, I don't think SOA would have those printed up already if the car isn't coming until next year.

I'm gonna wait off on the WRX now and see until New Years come. STi GOD, hit me up please. I gotta get myself one of them, even if it's gonna cost me around 35K. If it's more than that... forget it. Back down to the WRX realm.

No chance that was a US STI spec sheet.
Unless the september unveiling is going to include an STI.

Highly doubtful.

Hey im with you on that. I wont believe it till i see it. But like my dad pointed out to me, why would he go out of his way to stop me from buying a wrx...I mean i planned on getting the car TODAY!! So i hesitated with that info and came home empty handed

If your dad is the service manager for the other part, it won't be all that hard for him to get your a brochure, which you can then scan and post the pics of.

oh my god, you guys are like little girls talking about cute johnny at recess, just be patient, was it this bad when the rex first came to america? you guys need to chill, and to be honest with you, im taking the stance of others, i wont believe until i see it at a local subaru dealership, so for all the people that say this and that about how they know some guy that knows some guy who knows some guy in japan or india or wherever that knows the us spec sti will have 255 hp or 265 give me a break. Just wait like normal human beings, logically if i was subaru i wouldn't come out with the sti simply cuz the wrx is selling so well, but on another plane the evo 7 or evo 8 whichever the hell mitsu****i is putting out is coming for sure and subaru needs to complete with that and the sti is the only answer, i guess we will just wait and see...

how do you like the new spec-v, i test drove one, and fell in luv, but that was for 15 minutes, i wish i bought that instead of the rs, but the horsepower is relatively the same, i just dont like the body on the sentras, that is the only drawback whatsoever, and you got my favorite color too black, i saw one in the neighborhood that was black, that looked clean, and yeah i could imagine when the wrx was about to come
