The current car has grown on me alot. And I think the morrettes look good on the new car. But that silver design I think is ugly. Its like they couldn't decide what exactly they wanted to do. When the new car comes here it may look better, it may not. BUT it won't be here for close to two years so if you have a rex be happy and love your car

Me personally I just want a sti

IMO the silver sedan is a step forward. I was expecting more of a teardrop shaped headlights, but if that the path Prodrive decides lets just hope HID's are available on high end Imprezas. Also the grill and hoodline needs to laydown/layback some more [it might be ok as is when I seen it in person]; that vertical grill theme still makes the front end look too squared off.
I can live with the rearend it sorta rounds off the back. I hope that spoiler is an option, as with the sunroof.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

On second thought, they might not be able to lower the hood further because of the radiator height, cross support, and all the other thingies in the grill area. I suspect not enough time to re-engineer mechanical tidbits, since this was an emergency re-skin only to increase sales at home, and everywhere else except NA.

Maybe "pulling" forward the bottom of the grill area over the bumper [a la V5/6 grill] could achieve a more layed down look.

Those pictures are pretty old, I doubt they have anything to do with a third generation impreza.

I dunno. That new one does look better to my eye. Mainly because what I hate about the WRX is the fact that the rest of the design has boxy rectangular blisters, angular tail lights. Hell, most of the rest of the design is very angular. The only part of the vehicle that's curvey are the round headlights and the arc of the hood. They sort of stick out like a sore thumb. That's my complaint. That new one makes the body panels softer, curvier. The round lights look like they belong there, not like they were an afterthought. THAT I'd buy. I don't inherently hate round lights. I just don't like them on the current body.

3 spoke rims are popular in Japan.

Which goes to show that just because a style is JDM, doesn't automatically mean it's a good thing.

The best rework I've seen so far. Looks like a slightly modified hood (where it meets the grill/headlights) and fenders with a new front facsia. It is more of a tweak rather than an overhaul. Seems completely doable with no change to the structure.

(also, no side reflector or indicator. The WRC style wing and standard STi wheels.)

I could do without the big wing tho....that wing never looks good on anything short of an allout race car.

That's the picture I posted on page 2 or so. It's a photoshop'd picture. The rumors said smaller more aggressive headlights, those aren't smaller so I'm skeptical of that rendition.

Best Car Scoop!

Impreza {kanji} Change!

Without reading the kanji, I can tell what it's saying - Impreza face gets changed.

ROFL! Did you photoshop those? On the top pic, you forgot to change the lettering on the FogLight covers back to readible direction when you did a mirror flip of the right side.

Still the black and the bottom blue, if that turns out to be the design, I'm ALL OVER that. That is schweet. (But I doubt the fenders are going to be flared out like that.)

I like the black one also. What car did you get the headlight from? Looks likes one of them thar venomous snakes, aggressive and "striking". I would jump on it if it looks anything like that fenders and all.

Sure hope the redesign looks something like the black car, too bad you didn't present this a year ago, Prodrive/Subaru would have STOLEN it off you, it certainly looks sweet.

Looks like you also sloped the trunk on the bottom blue pic. Looks nice from this angle,( What would it look like from the side and rear ).

I never liked the bugeye look untill I saw the jdm WRX look. What wonders such small changes make. Hopefuly the'll be here soon as the 2003 WRX.

I was curious what a new age impreza would look like w/ more squareish headlamps. I did these several weeks ago. All I basicly did for the headlights were crop the round lights and kinda square them out a little. I used parts of the car to fill up the round parts pf the light I guess the rear looks like it's sloping on the blue one because I pulled the wheels and fender/quarter pannel out.

I agree, everyone expects at the very least they should make the projectors standard on the WRX, retain the current lamps on the entry level cars. Maybe even hid's as an option??

Again; it look great what you did with the oe lamps as the template.
