Default please help

i have a lil problem.. i bought autometer guages installed them they work great except the oil temp guage. are you supposed to use the factory plug with the 2 wires or the oem one.. the only thing i can get it to do is jump.. i know that it wont comp up as soon as you hook it up if its cool. it was warm went drove around for a while it just jumped up to 300 and stayed there the whole time. do i need to switch the wires or do i need to put the new drain plug in and just ditch the oem one??

You need the correct Autometer sensor that is compatible with your gauge. The one from the optional Subaru gauge pack won't work properly.
There is no other OEM sensor for oil temp other than the drain plug sensor supplied with the gauge pack.
