Default help: rewiring taillights USDM to JDM

i dont know if any of you know how to do this..but on the JDM taillights for 04/05 the circle part lights up at night instead of lighting up when braking like the USDM
basically JDM is the opposite of USDM and i was wondering if anybody know how to rewire the taillights so it will light up this way
thanks!

I can help you...I've done it to my own, and I helped J-Chow do his over the phone

Shoot me a PM razy!

Basically, if you are looking at the driver's side tails from the back there are three bulbs like this:

1 2 3

To make them "JDM", change the bulbs into different sockets so they end up like this:

3 1 2

Then remove bulb "1" from the socket completely, as it is not used on the JDM lights.

I realize this is hard to understand without pics over the internet, but like I said, I can help you in person if you like?

I know this mod doesn't work for wagon since the lights are upside down but does anyone know how the wagon's "JDM" look like?

Nope, sorry! The '06/'07 lights are more like the wagons, opposite than the '04/'05.

I was putting this off for the longest time but seeing photos of it elsewhere now makes me want to try it.

I find it ironic that while North Americans try so hard to be "JDM" Japanese people try so hard to be North American with their died hair... japanese rap...their obsession for white girls... the list goes on

My thoughts exactly. If only you met someone in japan that drives the same car, you guys can switch it up entirely lol

I've seen a Integra Type-R (DC5) in HK that had RSX badges on it.

I like what you did but...I like the European system better...(using your number system) 3 is used for a rear FOG light in Europe. That's right, rear fog light. For UK, the 3 light comes on the driver side when turned on (because of right-hand drive) and the passenger side DOES NOT come on. There are allowed to have only one rear fog light to come on. The rest of Europe has the number 3 light come on on the left side, i.e., the drivers side. Again, only one rear fog light is on.

Now, only the light 2 is on(both left and right) for driving light and 1 comes on only when the brake is pressed (again both left and right) for Europe. This is the way I wan to configure mind but I has yet to figure out how to connect the rear fog light...if anyone knows, share it with us.
