Default First in BC? MAYBE EVEN CANADA!?

These arrived today!

I love 'em! They're different from anything I've ever worn. I've been wearing DVS/Globe Skate shoes for a very long time (very bulky and full of padding with giant tongues). These are very thin (seeing as they're driving-inspired), but are still great for casual use due a VERY comfortable sole with reinforced padding on the heal, bridge and balls of your feet. They're also VERY light, it almost feels like I'm wearing nothing at all /Ned Flanders. They're made of really durable leather so I've been wearing them around the house to break them in. :P I still can't get over how comfortable the padding is in them. They're pretty thin for pedal feel, but very comfortable at the same time.

Sweet shoes and great choice on the color! Where and how much did you get them? I read it elsewhere on NASIOC that it is close to $200?

These are the DC Chicanes, a Hybride Casual/Driving shoe; they were $119.99us @ vividracing.com (+shipping).

There's also the DC Pro Spec 1.0's, which are a true driving shoe. They're $199.99us + shipping.

i got to have a look at the real driving shoes back in october during PFR in merrit... there were some samples that somebody was testing... very cool shoes and assuming i can actually get a good deal on them i'll pick some up for my next pair...

i hope they come out with a darker colour... i'm way to hard on my shoes to keep them white...

Definitely not the first in Canada. Easyrider in Edmonton has been selling them for a while. I've had mine for about 2-3 weeks. They are holding up well and are very comfortable.
There are 3 colours to choose from white camo, blue camo and black camo. All colour after DC's Gumball cars.

yup... warren Currie was letting me play with the sample shoes he had... besides the pair he was wearing (which i didn't touch!) he had the 3 or 4 different styles all in left shoes and in a size 8 or something...

they are legit
Ken Block and Travis Pastrana developed them for themselves and have been using them for a while now.

these aren't "driving shoes" these are the lifestyle shoes.

they actually have a really thick insole (its DC's new "Drop In" coushining insole)

the actually sole of the shoe is thinner then a skate shoe yes but by no means anywhere close to an actual racing shoe. almost the same as your basic running shoe.

if you want a racing shoe. buy an actual racing shoe. if you want something you can just chill in ( went bowling in mine last night ) and do some spirited driving with on your way home. then these are the ones.

Do you have 6 feet Jamie, or are you going to share with 2 other lucky people?

haha i don't think these shoes are that rare. there are probably tons of people in canada that have them already. If you were a fan of DC shoes and clothing you knew they were on the way a long time ago. i just bet all the other people in canada don't need to brag about their shoes

PS: just got word that the DC outlet has a couple sizes in the black and pink in these left.

actually QuickSilver owns DC shoes. Ken block is one of the original creators along with Damon way. no doubt they still have a HUGE part in the company as we see in the above video.

Maybe back in 92'.

Nice shoes 05Impreza. I've been looking for these, but no luck in the stores yet. Good to hear that Vivid didn't scam you. I think you're the first VIC member NOT to be scammed by those crooks.
