Default Return to turbo water pump?

Not sure about the wrx water pump, but im guessing its the same as the ej22t one, as far as the oil cooler line on the back side of it. right now i have mine plugged since im not using an oil cooler, but when i upgrade to ej22 na heads coolant return is going to be an issue. I will probably wind up t'ing off the manifold lines but I was wondering if I could just run a line to the water pump instead via the oil cooler return?

more importantly, has anyone done this?
