Angry AT oil temp light & lagging

My 99 RS just today when I was driving down the interstate I stepped down on the gas to pass a car when the car started to lag, it would not accelerate, then it did, then it started lagging again, then the AT oil temp light came on and it would not drive properly until I stopped the car and shut it off and then restarted it. It happened a couple more times in different gears whenever it stepped down on the accelerator. What is my problem? Do I have to reset the ECU again or something I don't know. Please advise as to this is really bothersome and not good.

Your tranny fluid is overheating- resetting your ECU will not fix that. See if you're low on fluid for starters.

Is this a cross-post?

The ATF Temp light = TCU code. You may have a communication problem with the TCU, take it to the dealer and have them read the codes for you or fix it if it's in Warranty.
