Only when you step on the loud pedal!

Are you going to install it yourself, or have it done at a shop?

LaterZ!

i guess i just have to shift gears early to keep the noise down when the powlice is around! hehe!

i'm tired of going underneath the car so i'm going to take it to a shop next week.

Apparently some people needed to grind a bit of the little protruding piece (attached to the turbo flange) off since the wastegate flap hits it... something about being designed for jdm imprezas?

Nice! Exhaust and wastegate gasses claim irreconcilable differences.

Seriously though, what affected your decision to get a divorced vs. bellmouth?

it is still a cast bellmouth design but with the addition of the flange of which its purpose is supposedly to smooth out the exhaust flow. i'm thinking smoother flow equals less turbulence hence freer flow of exhaust gasses out of the system.

invidia claims a 60+ hp to the wheel w/ engine management but we all know that's kind of an inflated number. i'll be realy happy with even just 50% of what they are claiming.

Are you running your stock axel back still ? A lot of how loud it will be depends on what you have back there.

you're likely going to need a wastegate port too

Looks great man!!
I just installed the same downpipe last weekend on my car. It's slightly louder than stock with the stock catback. but, you can hear the turbo spool sound much better now; the car is much more enjoyable to drive with that cool sound. oh yea, the car will be much faster.

well, kind of like whinning noise. give it a little gas while you are cruising at 2500 rpm, the turbo starts to spool, the noise will appear. Just like the GT35r whine, but 1/10 of the volume.

1) make sure you get it ceramic coated before you put it in and a 44022aa180 T outlet gasket.
2)Leave the 02 sensor in till the down pipe is out. That way you can just use a 22mm closed end wrench slid it over the 02 sensor plug, but...
3) Soak the threads of the 02 sensor with moovit for 45 mins before trying to take it out.

Hopefully your 02 sensor threads are not melted in like mine were or else you may have to budget for another $109 USD for a new 02 sensor from subygurl. BUt luckly we have two 02 sensors and the car will run with out the rear one but the milage might not be as good, because it can take a week or so.

And enjoy your new powerfull stagg 2 car. I do.

For the boost creep, boost spike and other turbo related issues, go check out the FAQ's in the Turbo technical section.

Due to the server crash, my post (and Kevin's post) got lost. I"m too lazy to look it up again and post it here.

LaterZ!
