Default Valentine One + remote display question

just got an older version of V1 which doesn't have the band display LEDs. I saw the V1's remote display unit has the band LEDs and I am just wondering are those two compatible? So if I get the remote display I'll be able to see the band that's being detected

I have that older version too. If you get hit with laser a bunch of dashes light up to let you know it's laser, otherwise you have to go by the tones. I would think the two different remotes would both work, butI'm not positive.
