fog light problem

i dunno what the problem is, but ever since i got the smart4cars hid kit installed, i have trouble turning on my fog lights. i can get them to turn on if i turn them on before releasing the e-brake, but if i turn it off and try to turn it on again, it wont work. i`m guessing i have to cut off my DRL to have the lights function correctly. why do you think this is happening?

why cut drl lights when you can just unplug it.

so do you think 'unplugging' the DRL would resolve my fog light issues? i just got the yellow tint on my fogs, so i really want to be able to use them..

When I had a set of plug and play HID for my 02 to get my foglights to turn on you have to push the button slowly. I know that it sounds kinda stupid, but for some reason it works. Just turn your headlights on like usual, and then push the foglight button slowly and they will turn on. Your highbeam indicator will also illuminate on the dash.

haha i`m having to do the same thing. but my complaint is that when you forget to turn them on right when you start the car, and then try to turn them on after you`ve already driven for a while. IT WILL NEVER TURN ON!! i wish more people would chime in on this, cuz i`m really frustrated with this.

You might need to do the foglight mod in addition to unplugging the DRLs behind the glove box. The foglight mod can be found at scoobymods.com if you can't find it here

yeah u gotta unplug DRL with the HID Kit. It should have said that in the instructions

Do the fog light mod as suggested and you won't have any more trouble with your fog lights, DRL, HID or whatever.

yeah just do the fog light mod and unplug your DRL's. that's what I did and now I can turn on my fog lights anytime I want (even without the key)

i have an 05 with hid plug n play and my fogs work fine. on and off whenever i want. am i missing something?

to get my fogs to work you have to turn the main lights on, turn fogs off, turn the main lights off, press the fog button in, and then turn the lights on...it's pretty much habit for me now lol.
