Default Pics of your accessory toggle switch

The other day I installed a toggle switch in my car so I could toggle between using Hella supertones and stock horn. Everything was a success until fitment of the switch in the interior rocker. As you can see below, i did a craptacular job. What happened was that i bought a switch from Kragen that looked like it would fit. I took out the blank button and tried to fit the switch it in the new hole. i push lightly, more and more then just jammed the thing in. the top of the switch broke off, hence the ghetto appearance. everything works perfectly but i get pissed off everytime i sit in the driver's seat. i'd like to replace this as soon as possible but would like to see how other experts add their own switch for things like the hella horn, extra lights, etc. Where did you get your switch? Did you just modify the blank/switch or get a switch that filled the whole hole? if you modified it, what tools did you use?

buy a prewired switch from wal mart.. they are really basic. just a standard silver switch... but they are really small, and fit quite well. if you really want i can take a pic of mine tomorrow.

that'd be great if you could do that. did you drill into the existing blank or something?

lol just dont pay attention to the wiring mess... and the quality is not so great.. sorry

the silver one i use for turning off the lighting in my gauge pod. i live in the middle of no where, there are tons of deer, beleive it or not with the lights off in the gauges, its much easier to see hahaha

the protected toggle that ghost is talking about, i know it looks ghetto, but i use it to put my car in test mode for tuning.

I used the same blank on my '06 and installed an amber lighted pole switch for the Hella rear red fog lamp I installed under the bumper.

As for the Hella Supertones, I simply installed them, made "extension cords" and plugged them in place of the stockers - I'm careful about using them so I don't blow anyone out of their shoes.

I didn't have a blank spot for the switches for the 4 Hella 500s I put on my roof...so I took the switches that came with the lights and mounted them in the ASHTRAY...so far I am diggin' it and my friends flip out when I open the ashtray and there are switches in it...

The switch on the right does the center pair and the switch on the left does all four...

I did all of the work myself and it was really easy...I even did a write-up

Well, i got another switch from summitracing.com. it fits better. still had to trim a very tiny square in one of the corners of that hole blank. If i want to use the 3 blanks to the left, i'd have to use a dremmel to put a switch into them. There are also two more blanks that don't require dremmel by the e-brake.

I wish i had a graphic to put on the button. i was thinking something like the windows sound WAVE icon, or 'Hella' text. meh, as long as i know what it's for.

why didn't you just use one of the filler buttons on the left?

I just bought a spare foglight switch from the junkyard and rewired it to work with my Hella's.

only oem buttons fit in there, like the foglight switch you have. but they're pretty expensive new and i didn't have access to a part out car. maybe when i get hella fog lights i'll do that.
