It doesn't seem as fast as it did 30-40k miles ago. And with such high mileage and driving the car so frequently, I've always wondered if I've gotten used to the power or has the mileage taken an effect on it.
So I guess I should also ask... What should I make assuming it didn't have the high miles. Just wondering if I've lost something or if I've gotten used to the power. Recently got it tuned and it seems alot smoother but not necessarily faster. If the dyno is close to where it should be, I plan on a compression test then 16g - I mostly autocross. If the motor is on the way out, going to start saving for an sti swap ![]() |

Good numbers. As long as your compression hasn't fallen off, it should still make the power.
It feels slower because its not new to you anymore. PS, the lines aren't smooth because your car haz teh super aids. |

Or the knock at 5700...or the 19psi on the stock turbo...add in that super A/F ratio the tuner hooked you up with....

Doesn't look like it spools exceptionally well, either. Though it might be a bit better on the street. |

Why 13.1 like why would the tuner have done that?? It was just recently tuned. Any harmful effects? If it knocks doesn't the car pull timing and go to limp mode??
It's not gone to limp mode, has felt what I've been calling "flat" on occasion then the power will be back next time I wot. Is it time I call the tuner back?? I should have done one run back on stg2 map for comparison. |

It will not go into limp mode, but what you are describing is the car knocking and pulling timing.
I would not call a tuner back who tuned you for 13:1...I would call a different tuner. PM Vaus on here and talk to him. |

SO....I'm thinking I'll send my tuner an email and say I want him to look over the tune again...?
I shouldn't have to pay for it should I? Edit-> it only does the "flat"/knock maybe 1/20 wot runs |

If you trust them, contact them again and ask. But really I would be looking at having someone else fix it.

If you think they b0rked your tune, then yes. Though you may want them to have them do another tune, a conservative one, for you first and try to fix it.

I wouldn't let them lay another hand on it. Maybe only to revert it to how it was. 13:1, how the **** do you let someone leave your shop like that. They must have no respect for themselves or their shop.
