Default 95' 2.2 w/ 98' DOHC 2.5 heads?

Ok boys and girls here's my thing.

I've got a really low milage 2.2 n/a engine, a set of really crazy 98' DOHC heads and way too much time on my hands

The 2.2 block is a 1995 and 9.7:1 according to factory specs.

Combustion chamber size is 40cc (?) on the 2.2 heads and 46cc (?) on the DOHC heads.

Doing some rough math this will knock the compression ratio down to about 9:1 (roughly).

What are some of my options in the way of getting the compression up without doing pistons?

Milling the heads .030 = .20 up in ratio

Thinner Head gasket = Unknown due to inability to find a thinner gasket info?

Now my other option is to close up the compustion chamber by welding, not my favorite option.

Anyone tried this combo with any success?

Anyone have any gasket info or links?

Thanks,
Dylan

yep,
Really the only way to do this build properly is to slap a turbo on it. Otherwise you need custom pistons. Thin HG's or shaving the heads are both questionable approaches...

I agree, but was just looking for a decent temp motor till I get my H6 ready to go in.

Then just slap it together and run it NA. It won't be a rocket ship, but it won't suck ballzors either...
