Default 2011 WRX with Nameless Performance Axle-Back *Video*

Disclaimer...this video was shot with an old point and shoot camera, hence why it appears to be filmed in .25 mega pixels, ha.

Not sure if this is the proper section of the Forums, but I figured I'd post it where lots of people can see. The quality is great and it took no more than 30 minutes to install. Didn't even need to jack up the car, just required two 14mm wrenches.

Hahahaha. I wasn't paying attention when the video started and missed "factory exhaust" and I was going to tell you that it sounded like crap. BUT I like the sound of the new exhaust alot.

Ha, well thanks. And at least you would have been honest. Not a bad exhaust for $300 I saw the 2011 exhaust thread where most companies were asking $1,000+ for their exhaust. Eff that. I just want my car to sound good. I'll worry about getting more into performance when my warranty is expired.

dang, didn't know the stock exhaust was so loud. haha

just love the POP when the injectors turn back on at 2000RPM. sounds even better when you're running a straight pipe. can't beat $70

what? where did he say it cost him only $70? Am I blind?

If this is true I must demand that you tell me where you bought it. I have been pondering buying an OBX axle back off ebay for $99 (made for early year impreza's) and hacking it up to fit my 2011 NA. I just want my car louder so I can listen to my rpms instead of keeping an eye on my tach.

^ my straightpipe cost me $70 at a local muffler shop. i would bet it isn't any louder than this exhaust in the video.

no way i'm dropping $300+ on a set of pipes until i hear the CBE or axleback in person and it is exactly what i want. until then, my solution will suffice

The Nameless Performance axle-back is $300 for the 2011 sedan and is basically a muffler delete. Quality parts and great fit/finish though, so I'm a happy camper!

I'd love to know too - does it get old fast? Can you have a normal conversation without yelling? Any ear ringing after driving? I put a magna flow on my 03 MINI and it had a nasty drone. This sounds really tight but I don't want it to be ANNOYING LOUD.

It's tolerable since you're still running the stock downpipe (2 cats) and the stock midpipe that has a resonator the size of a small suitcase. If you get an aftermarket downpipe and midpipe, you're going to want to throw some mufflers on the back if you have cops in your area or if you want to have a conversation with passengers
