I get the...."Hey do a burnout." which usually ends with them giving me a look when I shake my head and drive away.

The best one though, was when my gf and I were driving down 202 (a 4 lane mini highway in Delaware) and we hit a light. A riced out SRT-4 Neon pulled up next to me on the driver side. It was two gangster white kids, bumpin some crappy pop rap stuff.

The guy proceeds to roll down his passenger window and rev his engine at me and yell "I'll race you for pinks..." I was stunned, but before I could say anything my gf leaned forward and laughed hysterically at the kid (keep in mind, she is all of maybe 5'1" and 110lbs).

The passenger then turned and laughed at the driver and he got all embarrassed, revved his little neon up to like 5 grand and did his little burnout when the light turned and he drove away. I was so proud of my gf. Right then I knew I loved her... lol!

the one on the far left is for the turbo!

The more I think about it though, that'd be cool to have another pedal for extra powa!

I haven't read the whole thread, but i bet this is a repeat.
From a co-worker looking at my new STI last week:
"Man, are you sure this car is new? The tires look used. The tread is all worn out."

I always get "so when are you gonna turbo it?" or "is that an STI?" Also, once someone said "is that one of them crazy rally STI cars that I see on tv?"

Ok, gotta post these.
#1. Mom- "You're gonna get a ticket in that thing."
Me - "Not if I'm careful about it"
Mom- "You don't understand, it's fast without trying to be. But I will say, it has a smoother ride than my car."
She drove a Hyundai Sonata at the time.

#2. Nearly everyone that sees the car: "Dude, is that an STi?"
Me: "Nope"
Everyone: "So there's no turbo right?"
Me: "Yeah, there's a turbo"
Everyone: "So it is an STi?"
. . . We've all heard that one before

#3. My old boss: "So who ordered the taxi?"

#4. Not about the WRX, about the '68 AMC Rebel I used to have.
Ex-girlfriend: "Wow, this cars lights dim automatically!"
It had the foot switch for the brights.

My clutch was shot in my Outback. So I went to a shop to get a quote for the fix... (I had just finished installing four FF500's on the roof)

I'm talking to the guy while he is looking up how much the parts would cost...

he says: "I saw you drive up and I was wondering who would put those lights on the roof of Taurus wagon..."
Me: "It's not a Taurus...It is a SUBARU!..."

needless to say I didn't get my clutch from them...the price was through the roof anyways...they waned some $900 and I was able to get it from another mechanic for less than $700.

Best one ive heard.

Ricer pulls up as im leaving a gas station

Ricer: "Hey man u should do like a burnout"
Me: "Uh.... its all wheel drive"
Ricer: Looks to friend with confused look, shrugs shoulder, looks back at me "Ya man thats cool but you should just roast em"
Me: laughs and drives away

Cliff notes: Ricers are not aware of the concept of all wheel drive.
