There was a Blitz NUR spec TBE and ELH on my rex when I bought it. VERY loud without silencer. Turned over motor to warm up in skier shuttle lot. Guy with his assumed wife loading their gear into their late 90's Outback:

"You should buy a muffler for that thing!"
Me: "I already have one."
Him: "Then you got ripped off!" "What is that thing anyway?" (Debadged rear)
Me: "A Subaru, just like yours" "It makes 270awhp" (At the time. Thinking he might appreciate that.)
Him: "Then why don't you buy a Porsche or Maserati or something?"
Me: , , , .

Actually rode behind the STI with my old header and exhaust on the highway commute this morning. It is pretty damn obnoxious. Much less ricery now.

I did not realize there was a hand gesture for this?

Only one I'm aware of is the wheelie one I get while riding the SV.

I said yeah, hes like well cool. turns around walks about 10 steps turns around and says, remember!! comatose.

So the proper gesture back is to rotate the middle finger back at them, eh?

Not sure if it's too funny...but i pulled into a parking lot and turned slightly about to back in and my back seat driver said "how are you going to back in? you don't have a reverse without a transmission... you drive a stick?!?!" i was dumbfounded-absolutely at a loss of words.
her: "If you drive a stick-shift then you don't have a transmission and can't back in..."
me: "i do have a transmission?!"
her: "no you don't..."
me: "What?! my TRANSMISSION was invented before yours was..."
her "i don't believe you..."
me "I will pop my hood and show you right now" (10 degree weather)
her "nope still won't believe you."
me

also after taking someone to the store to pick up some stuff...
coming out and getting in after leaving the store and seeing my grill..
him :"oh sh**. didn't know i was driving in a subaru... i would take one in a second." (didn't realize i only had a 2.5i)
Me: "after my first one, i don't think i'd drive anything else."
him: "man you sure throw the stick around nicely. real smooth"
best compliment i could receive seeing as i'm fairly new to the manual tranny thing... been at it for only two months now.

My girlfriend is in the Navy Funeral Honor Guard and I took her to work one day, while we were trying to find the grave sight she had her friend on the phone. He was helping direct us to the grave's location, as we pulled up I hear him on the phone spot my car and freak out like a young teenage girl at a Justin Bieber concert.

He sent her a text saying a few days later saying:
Im jealous you get to sit in that ride. hahaha. its a shame you dont even know what your boy is handling haha appreciate it.

I got a real kick out of how excited he got.

Wrong answer, you have to do a lot of work to a Civic to make it compete with a stock WRX, much less an STi. Then you have to take into account all the Modified Subies, but then I guess you have to consider what is a fast Civic...something faster that a stock Civic, or faster than most stuff out on the road.

That is the reaction I get often from people around here, my favorite was when my 3 YO grandson got out of the back seat at Target & the guy collecting karts in the parking lot says, "Lucky kid."

Oh and Props to you and your girlfriend on your jobs.

Every time I start my car my dad always says "Your car is mis-firing" Then I let him know how the pistons fire and let him know its not an inline 4 cylinder.

I actually was outrun by a civic EJ at the track. I'm not that bad of a driver but they do really well if modified correctly. He basically stole my apex, out braked my already super late braking, and creeped away on the straights.

Turns out he has super thick racing slicks, and a k20.

I would think that would be something you would have to volunteer for, but, I was Army, that's the Navy, they do stuff weird.

There's a Civic here in Jacksonville, FL that pulls from my STi(stock) regularly from lights on my way to work, I'm just saying, take a stock WRX & Civic mod them both & the results are usually still the same, speed wise. Civics own STS in AutoX.

kobe is also good at what he does, thats winning. block, well lets be serious, it doesnt take that SKILLED driver to do burnouts...even wrc's "worst" driver is better then block by what 60,000,000 times..

also REAL curious, how did tanner foust beat him at his own game? GOD so like uHG.. duh i got it.
