^^^Exactly what you guys have been saying. We were a little disappointed when they stopped producing the GT. That was going to be my wifes next car. A bit cushier ride, Automatic, (although she drives the 5 speed WRX), and with the possibility to be considerably faster with a few upgrades.

Yeah, its never a good thing when competition is lost. Subaru could maybe make money off of a lightweight, stripped out, taughter, bare essential, more powerful sti, but only if they kept the regular sti as standard and the "sti++" as either a culmination of options or a seperate model all together. The price on said car would probably be outragous and the hardcore guys wouldn't get one because they'd replace so much anyways.

Unfortunately though, these cars would be disgustingly expensive, but also a very niche car, so you would be looking at $60,000-$80,000 for one of these cars which no one in the right mind would spend. a CS400 is £50,000 so roughly $81,000USD or even the STI Type UK is £33,000 so $53,000USD. The type UK has Recaro's which everyone wants, but doesn't want to pay big $$ for. Also small differences, but no one here would be willing to spend that much money for something that we are used to paying $35,000ish for. Most people will look at that price and say "well if I pay $35,000 I can spend $10,000 and make this car way better than a CS400 or STI Type UK" |

My buddy claimed that if you go with equal length headers that you don't fully lose the subaru sound...so i showed him a comparison video between a normal header with a full turbo back exhaust vs. an equal length header and full turbo back. His facial expression when he heard the raspy equal length sound...was priceless. "Yep...that's a honda. Well, i guess my equal length header is going up for sale today."

The subie did well tonight, coming home from working on a race car, I stopped at a caseys for gas, but they didn't have premium, went inside and got a pop and asked the cashier and the other young lady she was talking to if they knew of anywhere in town that sold premium, neither of them knew, but one of them asks why do you need premium? What do you drive?!?!
I answered I drive a Subaru ![]() Same girl: ooooh *looks at car* wrx or sti? Me: just a wrx ![]() Her: I like the license plate (SUBADRU) Me: haha, my dad got the personalized plate for me for christmas Her: well how bout a ride? ![]() Me: sure, why not ![]() Ended up making her gasp and squirm and scream a little ![]() Damn I love it when it snows! |

She seriously was the first girl I've ever met that isn't car-tarded and good looking. Anyone else notice that most car girls are either fat or have arms the size of arnold schwarzennegar? And no, I didn't get her number, she lives nearly an hour away and just not worth it, haha.
*waits for the one person to say "pics or it didn't happen"* |

The kid working the drive-thru at in n out this last sunday asked me if my car was an STI, when I told him no, he asked me how hard it was turboing my car, when I told him the WRX was factory turbo he looked blown away. all this was followed by, "well, i really like cars, but I mostly am into Hondas and Acuras".....that explained it all...

Looking at the grammar and overall douchiness, I'm going to guess you used to own a Honda.

Ever actually heard one in person? I drive one, it sounds nothing like a Honda. EJ207 with a Tomei EL header, full catless turboback. The raspyness is either because of a crappy video, or a poorly chosen TBE. |

You know they made auto WRX's in 2002 models, right? I wouldn't say that's funny at all, since its a legitimate question regarding your car.
